A few tips first :
I. I suggest having some basic photoshop knowledge before doing this, it would certainly make it easier.
II. Always work on a new layer, that way if you mess up, it's easy to fix.
1. I used this picture. ( of course, in the actual wallpaper I used a gradient to hide everything apart from my subject)
3. Coloring
I. Flatten the image if it's not already ( CRTL + SHIFT +E) or Merge visible on a new layer (CRTL + SHIFT + ALT +E)
II. Now go to Layer >New Adjustement Layer > Color Balance and use these settings :
For Midtones only :
Color levels : -45 ; -5 ; +24
III. Duplicate the base (original picture layer) and set the opacity at 70 % ( this truly depends on the picture you're using)
IV. Layer >New Adjustement Layer > Curves :
Change the blue curve >>
First point : 47, 65
secon point : 159, 147
third point: 206,204
V. Layer >New Adjustement Layer > Hue and Saturation :
Saturation = +38 (according to the picture)
VI. Layer >New Adjustement Layer > Selective Coloring :
REDS :
-88, 0, +54, 0
YELLOWS:
-81, 0, +49, 0
NEUTRALS:
+20, -14, -31, 0
Tada! you should have this :
